Calgary based - Treaty 7 Territory

Sophie Hartges (she/her) is an emerging artist currently working and studying in Moh’kinsstis Treaty 7 Territory (Calgary, Alberta). She is graduating with a BFA in Drawing in the Spring of 2024 from the Alberta University of The Arts. Her love for art began as a form of escapism from the chaos of contemporary life, but this transformed into an insatiable urge to express those parts of her that she cannot put into words. 

Sophie is driven by her desire to make the arts accessible to all, creating safe spaces for exploration and learning through caring acts of collaboration.
